The Museum of Modern Art, ala New York City, is exhibiting an extensive collection of Dada works. Over fifty artists are represented including Marcel Duchamp, Hans Arp, Max Ernst and more.
“This major museum exhibition, which premiered at the National Gallery of Art, is the first in the United States to focus exclusively on Dada, one of the twentieth century’s most influential avant-garde art movements. Responding to the disasters of World War I and to an emerging modern media and machine culture, Dada artists led a creative revolution that profoundly shaped the course of subsequent art.”

Burning Man is back and soon all of those closet hippies and hipsters from the cubical next door will be packing up their buses with drugs and generators for a couple nights out in the desert. Here are some guides that might help you make it out alive:

¡Viva! Chicago Latin Music Festival

“One of the hottest music festivals to grace the lakefront, the ¡Viva! Latin Music Festival gets those culos shaking, swinging, and swaying to Latin rhythms from around the globe — from cumbia, merengue, salsa, and charanga to reggaeton, hip-hop, and pop. Featuring salsa legend Johnny Pacheco, pop group Morrison, Xtreme, Son de la Habana, and NY newcomer Anais, among others, ¡Viva! serves up more than music; enjoy a multitude of tasty traditional cuisines, along with Hispanic art, clothing, jewelry, and instruments from international and local vendors.”

In-N-Out Burger Seeecret Menu

I’ve had the 4×4 and Animal Style burger but never knew about all the french fry combinations. California’s In-N-Out burgers are amazing for a cheap good(greasy) meal, try something from the Secret Menu next time.
Highlights:
“Animal Style” Burger: “Mustard-cooked beef patty, additional pickles, extra secret sauce with grilled onions.”
Fries: “Animal Style”: “French fries with secret sauce, onions and cheese on top.”
Grilled Cheese: “Cheeseburger without the ‘burger.’”
Neopolitan Shake: “Strawberry, vanilla and chocolcate all swirled together — not blended.”

FreeNYC has a continually updated list of open WiFi spots in the city for those laptop junkies needing a fix on the run. Looks like they’re missing the Apple Store 5th. Ave. though.

Blue Bottle Coffee

After the random disappearance of San Francisco’s top espresso bar, I’ve enjoyed falling back on Blue Bottle and their original Gibraltar’s. Not to mention the fresh beans.
